Chloe's First Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year!

Just wanted to update you guys about Chloe. It was her first Christmas and, of course, she was the center of attention. Grandpa started new traditions this year to get Chloe ready for a Christ centered Christmases to come!
Chloe got a walker and loved sitting in it after we opened our gifts. Here's a picture:

I'm still trying to get the paypal set up on this site. We thank each and everyone who has donated their time, money, and everything else to our family. Chloe returns to the doctor at Janurary and we're praying for a perfect report! Please continue to keep her and the family in your prayers.

With Love~

PICTURES

Ok.
I'm going to try it this way. I will put these pictures in the order they were taken. Now, please be aware that they may be upsetting to see. You can not hold me responsible if you cry or get sad. (: Just keep in mind that she's totally better now! Thanks.

At home before hospital stay:

Weekend before her surgery:
(At this time, she was having at least 35 seizures a day. The surgeron told us that if she didn't have the surgery right away, that she may have one and it would be fatal.)

The morning of her surgery, Jeremy couldn't stop crying. He was constantly praying and his tears were flowing. It's hard seeing my brother that way. But, he got better after the first phone call that said she was doing great in the surgery.

The night after her left hemispherectomy at 10:30pm:

After I saw her like this, I went out where no one could see me and I cried harder than I've cried over Chloe. Jeremy was so strong this night. He came and hugged me and told me it was ok. God brought her through the surgery and she was going to be fine. You just don't know how something like that will effect you.

Day 2:
Poor baby is so swollen. They had to place this wash cloth by her mouth because she kept throwing up. She's so precious.

Day 3:
What a difference a day makes!

Day 4:
She's getting a bath by her mommy. Here are the best pictures I could do of her incision. Note that she has a bubble on the left side of her head. It has gone down now and looks really good!

Day 5:
First time she looks at the camera!!

Long time coming update!

Hello everyone!

First let me apologize for the delay in this update. Things around here have been so crazy. But, it's better now and Chloe is doing so great! It's like God has given us a new baby!

For my myspace friends who have seen her pictures on there. Look in her eyes. Is there ever a picture where she's looking at the camera? Is there ever a picture where she looks like she's with us and not a veggietable? I don't think so. Dominique doesn't think so. Now check out this picture!

Photobucket

Here she is with her Daddy looking right at the camera! This was on thanksgiving. We're so excited! She laughs. She coos. (spelling) She holds our fingers with both hands. She's truly a miracle!

We're still praying for her full recovery. I'm working on getting these pictures on here.. So bare with me please!

Love you guys!
Thanks!

We're Going Home!!

Hello everyone!
I'm so excited to report today that we are going home! Chloe is doing great and they said that there is no reason why she has to stay her another night! So, get out! I'm kidding. They're not like that here. Maybe Erlanger. I don't know.
Well, I left on saturday night and came back last night, monday, and she's still cuter than ever. She's been eating by mouth and taking her medicines by mouth which she's not that happy about that. There is one medicine that she doesn't like at all. So, it's like pulling teeth to get her to take it. But, its one of the most important ones, so lets pray that her taste buds go numb so she can take all of it. Haha Just while she's having to take that. I don't want her taste buds to go numb all the time.
So, it's about 3:30p Nashville time and they haven't really told us when we're going to be going. We just know that it is today. So, thank you guys again for the prayers. We could never thank you enough. We love each and everyone of you! Soon I'll have pictures to share. I promise!

We're Out of The ICU!

Last night, Chloe had a great night. She had little to no seizures and her fever went down. So, today at around 3pm, they moved us up to the 8th floor out of the ICU!! Oh my goodness. The pictures that I have for you guys to see. And the videos that I have. Chloe had her second bath today when we got into the room since she's had her surgery. She did not like it at all. She gave Dominique a hard time. So hard that her oxygen was going down, so the sweet nurse, Elisabeth put the oxygen up to her face. Chloe got mad, picked up that oxygen mask and threw it at Dominique! It was the funniest thing! And so cute.
So, Chloe is doing a great job, you guys! But jut keep praying for her that her fever will go down and stay down. Then also that we can go home already!

So, I've set up a paypal accound and trying to get it on here so that if anyone wants to make donations to Chloe and her family, they may do so at any time. It's hard to ask for help or sometimes to even accept financial help. But, since Chloe's been in the hospital, Dominique has missed many days of work and Jeremy has missed some as well. Jeremy has returned to work but Dominique hasn't left the hospital since Chloe's arrival. So, we would appreciate any giving anyone may do. :)

UPDATE:
Last night I wrote that we were bedless to sleep. Well, I told my Mom and they were able to pay for us a hotel and Dominique and I had a great night sleep.

Well, that is all for now. So, keep checking back for more updates on Chloe: God's little miracle.

Today has been a great day!

Hello again everyone.
I'm sitting here in the computer room of the 5th floor of Vanderbilt Hospital hoping to pass the night away. I currently am without a place to sleep tonight. It seems all the sleep rooms were taken. So, to my dismay, it's either sit here for as long as I can, or go into the waiting room and try to sleep with 8 or more strangers with an unpleasant smell overtaking my nose. You know, the kind of smell that makes your nose tingle without a comforting sneeze? Yeah.. It's horrible. So, I'm willing to fight off sleep and I'll sleep tomorrow. Anyway.
To the real important person: Chloe! I'm so thankful what God is doing with her these past few days after this major surgery she went through. Before surgery, the surgeon told us that afterward Chloe may be paralyzed on her right side temporary. Well, she's not. Before the surgery, Chloe was delayed in focusing on you. Looking to find you when you spoke to her. Following a toy to see it where ever it went. And today we tried all those things with Chloe. She did them all!!!! I'm so very excited for her! I wish I was on my computer so that I could show all you guys the amazing things that she is doing! Her looks, her movement, her smiles. She's a beautiful baby girl. I'm so proud of her.
So, the important news that we have gotten tonight is that if she does well during the night, which I'm assuming that she will, she will get to go up stairs. Out of ICU which will be wonderful. She sat up today and was moving her head around to look for Dominique and I when we spoke to her. Her fever has gone down but is somewhat creeping back up. But, God is going to take care of that. She has had alot of the machines taken off of her. So, we're very excited about that as well.
Again, thank you guys so much for your prayers. And keep checking back, cause you never know when I'll be able to put pictures and videos up here. So, Love you guys alot!
Thanks.

Oh the nurses that we see!!

Hey.
Today is not starting off so great. Well, we don't know how Chloe's night went. We don't know how Chloe is REALLY doing today. Reason why? The nurse that Chloe has today is a, for lack of a better word, dork!
When I entered Chloe's room this morning, she was crying. Chloe never cries. So, I put my stuff in the closet and proceeded to her bedside. I held her hand and told her she was ok that we loved her and asked her if she wanted to sing a song. Well, of course, she did! :)
So, we sang, "Jesus Loves Me" and "You Are My Sunshine". Then she was fine. She closed her eyes and wasn't crying anymore. But, she kind of starts crying then stops. Waits a while then cries again. So, when the nurse finally graced us with her presence, I asked her if Chloe was in pain because she's crying. She said, "I don't know." And that was it!!!!
Dominique tried to talk to her to tell her that she don't normally do this. Something is going on and it needs to be fixed... The lady just looked on her computer and that was it!!
I do not like this nurse at all. So, I've put my information in to talk to the nurse manager to see if we can't get a new one.
Anyway.
There will be more later.
Thanks.
Keep praying.
Love you guys.
